What is Network Management?

You might see items on your monthly invoice from InTeleSync such as Network QoS and Monitoring, or Managed Network Switch or WiFi or Camera, and wonder what in the world is that and why is the phone company charging me for it?! A valid question, as it is somewhat of a new thing - new as in mostly the past decade. First and foremost, though, its important to understand that InTeleSync isn't just a phone company. We're a Networking company. Phones and the service to them is just a component of the overall network in your office. Just about ALL phone service in North America runs across the internet (VoIP) now. Even if its an analog line in your office, it will run across the internet after it leaves your building or reaches your Central Office down the road. That will be true if its a phone line from your local phone company such as AT&T or your local cable company such as Comcast. So if it runs across the internet, it runs across a network and that network is, of course, managed.

InTeleSync always wants to be the management company of choice for your network because, quite simply, its in our own best interest to make certain your network and our phones work properly, so we both get to be the benefactor.

Definition of Network Management
